The ICC has issued package scheme tickets for the Cricket World Cup across two broad segments: by venue and by team. Fans who prefer to watch matches at one particular venue and make travel plans around the venue can go for batch tickets. According to the Cricket World Cup schedule, the matches will be held in Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Mohali, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi (all India), Colombo, Hambantota, Kandy (all Sri Lanka), Chittagong and Dhaka (both Bangladesh). The sale of tickets for the two semi-finals (March 29, Colombo and March 30, Mohali) and the final (April 2, Mumbai) will be announced later.
The ICC has, in a promotional drive, also facilitated batch tickets that will enable fans to follow their favourite teams all through their matches in the group stages. The promotion is expected to be a good draw among fans of guest nation teams. There are two classes of tickets -- Platinum and Gold -- to the two best stands at the venues. The prices for these batch tickets will be announced on July 1, 2010.
