The Porsche 911 was updated in 2009. Porsche upgraded engines, new dual-clutch automated manual transmission (also known PDK), the enhancement of electronic interfaces and added a slew of new features, such as the Hill Holder, ventilated seats, Bluetooth and iPod interface. The suspension was a bit more compatible as well.

Before updating the current 911 by 2009, the tenth generation of cars is largely unchanged from 2005-08. The 05 redesign brought a return to classic face 911 with lights and signals as separate units. Compared to previous models, this 911 as a wider track for better handling, larger wheels and tires, an active suspension system available, and a better interior in terms of material quality, comfort and ergonomics .

Turbo, GT2 and GT3 products for 05 actually belonged to a generation ago and went on a break, and then until they reappeared in the years to come. The all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 and 4S arrived in 06 while the RS Targa, GT3, Turbo and GT3 limited edition followed the next year. GT2 was in 08.

According to consumer feedback in our forums, any one of these Porsche 911s will provide plenty of thrilling performance and should prove to be fairly reliable, though as expected, maintenance is pricey.
