Echaskech Presents

Dom and Andy have been involved in London's music and club scene for over ten years and form part of audio visual act Echaskech along with Mach V. The trio released the album Skechbook on Just Music in 2007. They have also promoted parties and played at many venues across the capital including Sketch, The Rhythm Factory, Ginglik, Cafe 1001, Big Chill Bar and House, Elecktrowerkz, Festinho and The Big Chill festivals and Corsica Studios.For this event, Echaskech present their selection of the finest live electronic acts performing with the best visual artists Europe has to offer, transforming Concrete at The Hayward into a grotto of light and melody and building to an evening of Electro and Breaks infused Electronica.

Crochet Nights

Enjoy weekly crochet sessions to learn the Hyperbolic Crochet technique. Some materials are provided, but please bring your favourite yarn and crochet hooks if you have them. The results of the workshops will become part of the growing Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef on display in the Royal Festival Hall and The Hayward Project Space.The Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef is a large-scale, constantly mutating series of handmade crochets which replicate the forms of natural coral. The project, organised by the Los Angeles-based Institute of Figuring is a direct response to the plight of coral reef from pollution and global warming.

United Visual Artists: Volume

Meltdown curators Massive Attack have invited United Visual Artists to exhibit an installation at Southbank Centre as part of Meltdown. Volume is an award winning sculpture consisting of a luminous array of light and sound emitting columns on Riverside Terrace. The facade of Southbank Centre is also transformed by light and the projection of a new collaboration with the charity organisation Reprieve.
